The Bathroom Sink
I swear this must have come straight from the Bitner Ranch downstairs "powder room". I loved the little shell-shaped soap saver, and the soap slivers that resided there. There was always a dirty bar of Lava Soap for the farm hands and mechanics to "warsh" up with ! The water ran downhill from a cistern which Grandma would occasionally check for snakes or other varmints!

NIFTY SIFTER
The graphics show the aproned Mom in her 1950s style kitchen having just used her own sifter to bake Junior an apple pie. The red handled kitchen utensils hang on the wall above the red canister set on the yellow Formica counter atop metal kitchen cupboards on a red and white asbestos tile floor. The venetian blinds are pulled up to let the sunlight into this charming portrayal of life in the mid twentieth century heart of the home.

By-Gone Baby Accoutrements-Bye Bye!
Evenflo glass baby nursing bottles with plastic caps and rubber nipples withstood the boiling and sanitizing methods of our mothers' and grandmothers' day. Plastic didn't break, but could get that "greasy" feel.
Sweetly nostalgic baby buggy with wild wicker body and hard-riding wheels for the Victorian tot.
Do you remember the "Baby-Tenda" with the drop down seat which could be fold to make a flat tabletop?
Tin tray insert was handy for the wooden high chair of yore.
When I was a toddler, I was plopped into this high chair which is still in service at the Ranch. 
A porta-crib was indeed a smaller version of the nursery crib, but could be folded down for travel, and was the size that could squeeze through an average door for portability.
A "modern" buggy with cloth body and protective hood.Even more modern was the plasticized cloth which was more weatherproof.
Remember your Grandma's washers with the dangerous wringer that could take your arm off?

Vintage Potty Seats...what would we do without Potty Seats?
The inevitable vintage tool for the frazzled potty-training 1940s Mom...the wooden potty seat with adjustable arm rests, chair back complete with cute decal, and all set to attach to the toilet seat awaiting the infant or toddler to be plopped down and strapped in for take-off!
And here is my stylish mother Joyce holding MY potty seat on the sidewalk of Gram Nell's house on 500 East in Salt Lake City in 1948! Heaven only knows why this seemed to be the perfect time to capture on celluloid a portrait of a young mother with her daughter's potty chair. But am I ever glad to have a bit of my life put into historical perspective. The training was a success, by the way.......Thanks for persevering, Mom.
